RCCG Overseer Urges Patience for Adeboye's Comments

Pastor Joseph Odesola, the RCCG Continental Overseer for Continent 3, which includes South West Nigeria and the Middle East, advised Nigerians not to pressure Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the RCCG, to publicly criticize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or his administration. In an article published by Impact Nigeria, Odesola stated that Adeboye would address the nation’s political and economic issues at his discretion.

He noted that some individuals seem to have preconceived notions of what they want Adeboye to say, expecting him to condemn the President or his policies. Odesola stressed that a responsible servant of God should not be compelled to make statements based on public demand.

He clarified that while the church has a duty to speak on national issues, it should not become a political entity. Odesola emphasized that truth should be communicated without insults or anger, maintaining the integrity of spiritual authority.
