NUPENG-Dangote Refinery Dispute Resolved in DSS Meeting, Strike Suspended

Minister Dingyadi explained why the meeting between NUPENG, Dangote Refinery, and the DSS was held, clarifying that it took place in a secure environment. The Minister of Finance was also present at the meeting.

The meeting resolved disputes between NUPENG and Dangote Group, leading to the disbandment of the Direct Trucking Company Drivers Association established by the refinery's management. The contentious issues were resolved, and the ongoing strike was suspended based on agreements reached during the meeting.

Stakeholders confirmed the resumption of loading petroleum products by tanker drivers. The meeting addressed allegations of misconduct by the refinery's officials, which were denied by Dangote Refinery representatives.
