Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Ex-Niger Commissioner's Family

On Sunday, a tragic road crash claimed the lives of Hajia Daja, the wife of former Commissioner of Education Abubakar Daja, and three of their children. The accident occurred when they were traveling in a Mazda from Minna to Mokwa-Bida Road, colliding with a Sienna.

Hajia Daja and three children died at the scene, while their teenage daughter survived but suffered severe injuries, including a broken rib and shoulder. An eyewitness, Salihu Abubakar, expressed concern about the daughter's chances of survival as she was unconscious at the time.

The crash, which involved a total of 18 passengers, resulted in nine deaths, with two fatalities from the Sienna. The accident was confirmed by Saadu, who reported that the incident occurred around 11:30 AM along Kutigi-Bida Road at Shebe Village.
