Wike Inaugurates New Road to Boost Abuja Infrastructure

On Friday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, inaugurated a 3.4-kilometer collector road in Mabushi, Abuja. This project is part of a broader commitment to ensure inclusive infrastructure development across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Wike emphasized that the ongoing infrastructure projects aim to improve connectivity, stimulate economic activity, and enhance the quality of life for residents. He noted that the transformation of areas like Karu significantly changes their outlook and development levels compared to other parts of the capital city.

The newly constructed interchange linking Jahi and Gwarinpa was described as a major milestone in improving connectivity across the capital. Wike acknowledged the previous inadequacies in infrastructure that hindered real estate development and stated that the new road would trigger increased private investment and accelerate housing projects.

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, commended the FCT administration's efforts. The project was awarded in February 2025, and Richard Dauda from the Federal Capital Development Authority provided details on the road's location and connectivity improvements.
