Wike Approves Promotion for 3,592 FCT Civil Servants

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has approved the promotion of 3,592 civil servants following the successful completion of the 2025 promotion exercise. The announcement was made by Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission.

In addition to the promotions, Wike directed the immediate commencement of the 2026 promotion exercise to ensure that eligible workers are promoted without delay. This initiative is part of the activities celebrating the third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and reflects the Federal Capital Territory Administration's commitment to staff welfare under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Ezeh noted that the promotion examinations for senior officers took place from July 1 to 3, while junior officers' examinations were held on July 10. He commended Wike for his support in successfully conducting the exercise and emphasized that the promotion process remains merit-based and competitive, urging workers to prepare early for the upcoming exercise.
