Wike Takes Vacation After 30 Days of Project Work

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has commenced a vacation after spending more than 30 consecutive days engaged in various official activities, including commissioning completed projects, flagging off new developments, and inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects across the Federal Capital Territory. His Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, announced this on X, stating that Wike's recent engagements included reviewing the progress of infrastructure projects expected to be completed and commissioned in December and January.

Wike, who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in August 2023, has prioritized infrastructure development since taking office, focusing on road construction and rehabilitation to improve connectivity within the capital. His inspections often involve directives to contractors to meet timelines and specifications.

While Olayinka did not disclose Wike's vacation location or duration, he indicated that the minister is taking time to relax after an intensive period of project-related activities.
