Lagos PDP Condemns Wike's Remarks on Olabode George

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned remarks made by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, regarding party chieftain Olabode George. The party's spokesman, Prince Dr. Christopher Odianarewo, described Wike's comments as “baseless, reckless, and ignorant.” Odianarewo defended George's reputation, noting that the Supreme Court had cleared him of allegations from his tenure as Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Board.

He accused Wike of disregarding judicial decisions and attempting to tarnish George's image. The Lagos PDP criticized Wike's comments about George's residence in Maitama, Abuja, calling them an abuse of office and an unwarranted intrusion into private affairs.

They asserted that Wike and Rivers State have no connection to the property and accused him of trying to intimidate individuals using his public office. The party urged Wike to focus on his responsibilities as FCT Minister and to respect senior party leaders.
