Eddie Hearn, the promoter for Anthony Joshua, has clarified that Deontay Wilder is not in Joshua's plans despite a recent offer for a fight in July. This comes after speculation about a potential clash between the two heavyweights.

Joshua has been offered a two-fight deal that includes a return to the ring in July, but Hearn stated that Wilder is not part of this current plan. The focus is on a significant showdown against Tyson Fury, targeted for November.

Hearn explained that while Wilder emerged as a potential opponent following his victory over Derek Chisora, the risk of facing Wilder before the Fury bout is not something they are willing to take. The offer for the July fight was made by Turki Alalshikh in collaboration with Ring Magazine, but Hearn indicated that Wilder is unlikely to feature in the terms of the current agreement.

Joshua is expected to have a lower-risk interim bout in July to prepare for the crucial fight against Fury later in the year.
