WISTA Nigeria Praises Western Naval Command's Support

WISTA Nigeria, under the leadership of President Dr. Odunayo Ani, commended the Western Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy for its support in hosting the 8th WISTA Africa Region Conference.

During a courtesy visit to the command headquarters in Apapa, Lagos, Dr. Ani expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the Nigerian Navy, describing the tour as an enriching experience that provided firsthand insights into the Navy's operational capabilities and strategic maritime responsibilities.

Dr. Ani reaffirmed WISTA Nigeria's commitment to advancing women's participation in the maritime industry through mentorship networks and capacity-building initiatives.

Rear Admiral Abdullahi Abubakar Mustapha, the head of the Western Naval Command, acknowledged WISTA Nigeria's contributions to the growth of the maritime industry and stressed the indispensable role of women in promoting sustainable growth and social inclusion within the sector. He reiterated the Nigerian Navy's commitment to strengthening collaboration with maritime stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure maritime environment.
