Yobe State to Train 2,500 Women in Digital Skills

The Yobe State Government is set to train 2,500 young women and girls in vocational and digital skills through the Technology Talent Services (TTS) project. This initiative aims to expand employment opportunities, promote digital inclusion, and strengthen economic independence.
Ibrahim Baba Saleh, the Media Coordinator/Liaison in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, announced this development, facilitated by Hajiya Amina Galadima, the Office of Focal Person on Ease of Doing Business in Yobe. During a visit by a TTS Nigeria delegation led by Ambassador Janet Olisa to Dr. Mohammed Goje, the Secretary to the State Government, the delegation assessed training centres and reviewed implementation readiness.
The initiative, supported by the Mastercard Foundation and Tech for Development, will also provide job search and placement support for participants. Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration is committed to human capital development and inclusive economic growth, with plans to establish a Project Steering Committee for effective coordination.
