African Teams' Mixed Results in World Cup First Round

Egypt managed to hold Belgium to a scoreless draw, while Cape Verde frustrated Spain with a goalless draw.

DR Congo also recorded a 1-1 draw against Portugal. Overall, the 10 African teams registered two wins, three draws, and five defeats, reflecting a mixed performance as they prepare for the second round of group matches.
