Wuntism: A New Political Ideology for Nigeria's Youth

The concept of 'Wuntism' is presented as a political and socio-economic ideology aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the people of Nigeria. It is not intended to glorify individuals or create a political slogan but to stimulate intellectual discussion around leadership philosophies.

Proposed by Bala Wunti, Wuntism emphasizes that true leadership is measured by the improvement of people's lives rather than political support or project commissions. The ideology recognizes that sustainable development cannot be achieved by the government alone; it requires active participation from civil society, traditional institutions, religious leaders, and the private sector.

Wuntism particularly focuses on the youth, advocating for their preparation in leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation as essential for securing the country's future. Mukhtar Jarmajo, Chief Executive Officer of the Bala Wunti Support Organization (BWSO), expresses hope that Wuntism will provoke discussions among political science students and scholars, encouraging deeper thinking about leadership in Nigeria.
