NaijaAid UK Launches £30,000 Fundraiser for Nigeria

NaijaAid UK, a UK-based charity, is initiating its annual 250,000 Step Challenge to raise £30,000 for first aid initiatives in Nigeria. The campaign, which runs throughout July, encourages participants across the United Kingdom to walk 250,000 steps to support healthcare projects.

The funds raised will facilitate first aid training for healthcare professionals and provide essential medical equipment to healthcare facilities in Nigeria. Dr.

Lanre Nehan Babalola, the campaign's founder, emphasized the importance of collective action in improving healthcare delivery. This year's campaign aims to expand training programs, including basic first aid for individuals with speech and hearing impairments, promoting inclusivity.

The initiative also seeks to support the University of Ilorin's WIN ACT initiative. NaijaAid UK has impacted over 200,000 lives through free medical outreach and has donated 70 hospital beds and medical equipment to government-owned hospitals across Nigeria over the past eight years.
