Solomon Olamilekan Adeola: A Political Journey of Impact

Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, was born on August 10, 1969, in Lagos. He has built a significant political career characterized by hard work and dedication.

Adeola, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, began his education in Alimosho, Lagos, and later obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting. His political journey spans over two decades, during which he served in various capacities, including as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly from 2003 to 2011 and as a senator representing Lagos West from 2015 to 2023.

He currently chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations and has played a crucial role in fiscal discipline and legislative reforms, particularly in enhancing the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service. Adeola's tenure is marked by significant contributions to Nigeria's budgetary processes and infrastructure development, particularly in Ogun West and the broader Southwest region.
