Yikodeen Celebrates 10 Years of Safety Footwear Innovation

Yikodeen Company Limited celebrated its 10th anniversary with a corporate dinner and award night in Lagos, attended by industry leaders and stakeholders from the manufacturing, oil and gas, and construction sectors. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Atund Shamsideen Olayinka reflected on the company's journey, noting the initial skepticism about the ability of Nigerian companies to successfully manufacture safety footwear that meets global standards.

Despite challenges such as limited infrastructure and intense competition, Yikodeen has remained focused on delivering quality products. The company has made significant contributions to employment, with approximately 61% of its workforce being women, and has provided vocational training to 200 individuals.

Yikodeen manufactures 33 certified safety footwear models, adhering to international standards set by recognized organizations like TUV and Intertek. Chief Operating Officer Deji Maradesa attributed the company's sustained growth to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
