Yobe Governor Buni Upgrades Ngelzarma PHC to General Hospital

On Wednesday, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni approved the upgrade of the Primary Healthcare Center in Ngelzarma to a General Hospital. This decision was made to address the increasing medical needs of the growing population in Ngelzarma and surrounding communities.

Governor Buni emphasized the importance of healthcare reform and the development of the health sector, which occupies a prominent position on the state's priority list. Earlier, Buni's administration had upgraded eight primary healthcare centers in various locations including Bara, Buni Gari, Babban Gida, Yunusari, Machina, Jajimaji, Nguru, and Gulani to General Hospitals.

Additionally, four General Hospitals in Potiskum, Gashua, Geidam, and Buni Yadi were also upgraded to specialist hospitals. The governor assured that the government would provide the necessary equipment to meet the standards required for a General Hospital and to enhance service delivery.
