Yobe Coalition Launches PVC Awareness Campaign Ahead of Deadline

The Coalition of Local Government Area Progress Movement (COLGA) has initiated a comprehensive voter registration awareness campaign in Yobe State, aimed at ensuring eligible residents register before the July 26, 2026 deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The campaign was officially launched in Damaturu by Alhaji Musa Aji Suleiman, the Director General of COLGA, who underscored the importance of voter registration as a civic duty.

Suleiman stated that the ongoing enrollment exercise by INEC presents a prime opportunity for every eligible citizen to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). Baba Sharif Zannah, the Director of Media and Publicity for COLGA, elaborated on the campaign's strategy, which includes a focus on reaching underrepresented groups, particularly women.

The coalition aims to cover all 17 districts in Yobe State to ensure no qualified voter is disenfranchised.
