‘You Can Not Suspend Me’ – Ex-Kogi Senator, Ogembe Tells PDP

Former Kogi Senator, Ogembe, has rejected his suspension by the PDP, claiming he had already left the party. The PDP had accused Ogembe of undermining the party's interests by boasting about collapsing its structure in Okene Local Government Area.

Ogembe's defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has deepened the crisis within the Kogi PDP, which has faced a series of defections to opposition coalitions in recent months. In a similar move, the former Chairman of the PDP in Lagos State, Shelle, and other party stalwarts defected to the ADC, citing the PDP's failure to address destabilizing activities by national figures like Minister Nyesom Wike.

Shelle criticized PDP leadership for being compromised and unable to challenge the ruling APC, stating that the ADC is filled with capable leaders who can challenge the APC in the 2023 elections.
