Eight Terrorist Collaborators Arrested in Zamfara State

On Wednesday, the Community Protection Guard (CPG) in Gusau, Zamfara State, successfully arrested eight suspects believed to be aiding terrorists. The operation, led by retired Assistant Inspector General Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, intercepted a vehicle carrying three brand new motorcycles, improvised explosive devices, and cash amounting to N13.5 million.

The suspects were found in possession of 98 sticks of dynamite, 25 detonators, and 25 coils, which are believed to be intended for terrorist activities, including potential exchanges for gold. Preliminary investigations indicate that these items were likely meant to target security personnel along roads.

The CPG has vowed to continue its efforts to ensure that terrorists have no safe haven in the state, and the suspects will be handed over to the police for further legal action.
