Zamfara Group Condemns Massive Police Deployment Ahead Of Rerun Elections

The Zamfara Democracy Monitoring Group (ZDMG) has expressed serious concern over the massive deployment and redeployment of police officers and security personnel ahead of the forthcoming rerun elections in Zamfara State. The group highlighted a police signal indicating the posting of an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) from Force Headquarters to various units in Kaduna, Zaria, Sokoto, and Gombe.

ZDMG raised alarms about this trend, stating that it threatens the integrity of the democratic process.
