Zamfara Zakat Board Sponsors Mass Wedding for PWDs

The Zamfara State Zakat Endowment Board sponsored a mass wedding for 10 persons with disabilities, highlighting a significant humanitarian initiative. The event took place on Thursday, with Sheikh Ahmad Ibn Umar Kanoma, the state chairman of the board, emphasizing the board's commitment to the proper collection and distribution of zakat.

This initiative aims to alleviate hardship and bring joy to individuals with special needs. In addition to the wedding, the board donated 50,000 naira in cash support and furniture to assist the couples.

Alhaji Shehu Umar, the chairman of the Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities, praised the Zakat Board for their concern and support for individuals with disabilities, noting that such efforts help prevent isolation within the state.
