INEC Reports 1.91m PVCs Collected in Osun State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that as of Thursday, 1,906,390 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been collected by registered voters in Osun State, which accounts for 81.50% of the 2,339,233 registered voters in the state. This leaves 426,842 PVCs uncollected, representing 18.50%, which have been safely deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria.

INEC, through its National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Haruna, stated that 6,101 individuals who applied for replacements of damaged, defaced, or lost PVCs were able to print downloadable copies of their cards. Additionally, INEC published a polling-unit-by-polling-unit table of the collected PVCs on its website.

The commission reassured political parties, civil society organizations, the media, and residents of Osun State of its readiness to conduct a free, fair, credible, transparent, and inclusive election on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
