ADC Backs Atiku's Appointment of Kenneth Okonkwo

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed support for Atiku Abubakar's appointment of Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo as the spokesperson for his 2027 presidential campaign. In a statement signed by ADC Mind Coordinator Adolphu Ud, the group praised Atiku for recognizing Okonkwo's significant contributions to the Nigerian film and media industry.

They emphasized Atiku's track record as a talent spotter during his tenure as Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007, where he was instrumental in assembling a globally acclaimed economic team. The ADC noted that Atiku's ability to identify talent extends beyond economics to education, agriculture, and media.

The group highlighted Okonkwo's appointment as a testament to Atiku's commitment to inclusivity, particularly in giving the South East a sense of belonging in the campaign. They expressed confidence in Okonkwo's experience and urged him to actively promote the ADC's manifesto during the campaign.
