Atiku Abubakar Advocates for Women in Politics

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called for enhanced mobilization of women in politics as his support group, Atiku Pulse, initiates grassroots efforts across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). During the group's official unveiling in Abuja, Atiku stressed the critical role women play in politics and highlighted the urgent need for a new direction in job creation and security to tackle unemployment.

He criticized the current government for failing to address Nigeria's challenges, attributing this to leaders prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of citizens. Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, a political ally, echoed these sentiments, pointing out Nigeria's potential for transformation through its resources if leadership improves.

He expressed confidence in Atiku's chances for the 2027 presidential election while warning against electoral fraud. Haruna Abubakar, the group's Director-General, announced plans to appoint polling unit coordinators nationwide to strengthen their grassroots structure.
