Fayose: Atiku, Obi Need Miracle for 2027 Success
Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, expressed that the presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress and Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress will not make any progress in the 2027 presidential election unless a miracle occurs that brings them together. During an appearance on TVC’s Politics Tonight, Fayose mentioned that there is significant discontent in parts of the North regarding Rabiu Kwankwaso's decision to be Obi’s running mate.
He asserted that both Atiku and Obi have already lost the upcoming presidential election, stating, “In the presidential election, Obi has lost already; Atiku has lost already.” Fayose emphasized that it is too late for a united front due to the accreditation of candidates by INEC, and criticized those who attempt to withdraw support close to the election date, labeling them as foolish.
