Obidient Leaders Back Tinubu for 2027 Elections

On Friday, Comrade Isaac Balami, the former Deputy Campaign Manager for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign, led a meeting in Abuja with Obidient leaders and professionals to declare their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. Balami, who joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the 2023 elections, cited a lack of purposeful leadership within the Labour Party as his reason for leaving.

He officially presented the Obidient structure, which previously delivered over six million votes to Peter Obi, now aiming to mobilize 12 million votes for Tinubu. The meeting included leaders from various support groups, social media influencers, and representatives from professional associations.

Balami recounted injustices faced by the Obidient Movement and emphasized the need for a renewed political structure within the APC. He and other leaders expressed their commitment to mobilizing support for Tinubu, urging Nigerians to support the APC in the upcoming elections.
