Balami Leads Obidient Leaders to Support Tinubu for 2027

On Friday, Comrade Isaac Balami, the former Deputy Campaign Manager for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign, led a delegation of Obidient leaders and professionals to meet Seyi Tinubu in Abuja. The meeting was aimed at expressing their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Balami, who joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the 2023 elections due to perceived leadership failures in the Labour Party, presented the Obidient structure to Seyi Tinubu. He stated that the group, which had previously delivered over six million votes to Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election, aims to double that figure to 12 million votes for Tinubu.

Balami recounted injustices faced by the Obidient Movement under the Obi/Datti Campaign Council and emphasized the need for a new political structure within the APC. The gathering included leaders from various support groups and professionals who pledged to mobilize support for Tinubu's re-election.
