Anambra APC Rejects Court Ruling Against Senator Anosike

The Anambra State chapter of the APC has rejected a recent high court judgment that purportedly removed Senator Emma Anosike from his position as state chairman, describing the ruling as a "kangaroo judgment." The party contended that the plaintiffs, who filed the suit, were not authorized to act on behalf of the APC's state executive. The court's decision, delivered by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has been criticized for potentially destabilizing the political landscape in Anambra State.

Key figures in the party, including Sir Obiora Okpala and Sir Bright Osemeka, expressed concerns that the suit was a calculated attempt to expel Anosike and disrupt the upcoming general elections. The list of plaintiffs included Mr.

Elochukwu Okonkwo and others, but Mr. Chiechezona Bonti Onuigbo publicly distanced himself from the court process.

The APC emphasized that the suit was not merely a challenge to the state executive but an effort to manipulate judicial orders and undermine the party's primary election outcomes.
