APC Expels 30 Members for Legal Action Against Party

The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) expelled 30 members for taking the party to court. This decision was reached during a state executive meeting held in Awka, as disclosed by the state public secretary.

The expulsion aligns with Article 21, subsection 5 of the APC constitution, which governs party discipline. The members in question had previously aligned with aspirants for the House of Representatives and had even obtained nomination forms.

The party ratified the election of a disciplinary committee, which includes Senator Margery Chuba Okadigbo as chairman, alongside other members such as Dr. Chioma Ejikem, Dame Jessi Balonwu, and Dr.

Amobi Nwokafor. Additionally, the committee will be supported by a primary election committee chaired by Hon.

Izu Okeke. The meeting also involved the inauguration of 21 local government chairmen and discussions on appointing a director in charge of security and screening for House Assembly aspirants.
