PDP Adamawa Presents Certificates to Assembly Candidates

On Friday, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State issued certificates of return to 25 assembly candidates at an event in Yola. The ceremony was led by Barrister Tanimu Turaki, who heads the PDP's caretaker committee.

Interim PDP chairman Mr. Elmond Dogo congratulated the candidates who emerged from the primaries and urged them to collaborate closely with party stakeholders in their respective constituencies to ensure success in the 2027 general elections.

Dogo emphasized the importance of the candidates' efforts as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its portal for political parties to submit the names and details of candidates for various electoral positions. Despite internal factional crises, the Turaki-led committee is recognized by INEC as the authentic leadership of the PDP.

Dogo expressed optimism that the party would win the state assembly elections, citing overwhelming grassroots support, particularly following the recent local government elections where the PDP secured 21 local government areas and 226 electoral wards.
