PDP Declares Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Posters Fake

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has responded to the circulation of campaign posters bearing the image of former President Goodluck Jonathan, labeling them as fake. The statement was issued on Saturday by the PDP's interim national working committee, signed by Comrade Ini Ememobong.

The posters, which falsely portray Jonathan as a candidate alongside notable Nigerian running mates, have been widely circulated on various social media platforms. The PDP emphasized that these posters do not represent any legitimate campaign efforts and are misleading to the public.

The party confirmed that Jonathan is a registered member of the PDP and capable of leadership. The statement also addressed the issue of double registration, clarifying that it is not prohibited under the current electoral act.

The PDP urged the public and the Independent National Electoral Commission to disregard these fraudulent activities.
