Former Niger Commissioner Joins ADC, Criticizes Bago

Mikail Al-Ami Bmitosahi, the former commissioner in Niger State, has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He accused Governor Moham Umar Bago of operating a "one-man government" and sidelining political stakeholders.

Bmitosahi's decision, announced during a press conference in Minna on Thursday, was made after extensive consultations with political leaders, youth, and women across the state in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He believes the ADC offers a credible platform built on inclusivity and internal democracy to address the challenges facing Nigerians.

Bmitosahi emphasized the need for security, quality education, healthcare, potable water, and good roads, asserting that the ADC is best positioned to deliver these promises. He criticized Bago's governance style, claiming the governor ignores advice from elders and senior political stakeholders, and alleged that Bago announces projects without consulting his cabinet.

Alhaji Mamman Musa, another former commissioner, supported Bmitosahi's claims, stating that the current leadership is misdirected and wasteful.
