Kwara Monarchs Warned Against Endorsing Disputed Candidates

A coalition of stakeholders has cautioned traditional rulers in Kwara against endorsing candidates amid ongoing disputes regarding the APC primary elections for the House of Representatives in the Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Ok Ero constituency. The group, led by Dada Jayeola, claims that the announced results do not accurately reflect the electoral process, alleging that no primary election was conducted in the Ekiti local government area.

They argue that a video circulating purportedly showing election results is misleading. The group insists that Dr. Toba Oloyed emerged as the authentic winner of the primary elections, as supported by the party's records, and they have lodged an appeal with the APC to review the declared outcomes.

They urge the party leadership to recognize Oloyed's candidacy promptly, emphasizing that the traditional council should remain neutral during the appeal process. Additionally, the APC youth leadership in Ekiti has expressed support for Hon. Olawuyi Abdulraheem Ajuloopin, citing his performance in office and commitment to development.
