Renewed Hope Ambassadors Urge Wike to Support APC Unity

The state coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) have called on Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, and other stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) to avoid political actions that could weaken the party's structures ahead of the 2027 general elections. The RHA emphasized that support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election from outside the APC should not undermine the party’s candidates or structures at state and local levels.

They backed the Progressive Governors Forum's position that APC governors have responsibilities to both President Tinubu and candidates on the party’s platform. The statement addressed concerns regarding the emerging Rainbow Coalition associated with Wike, which aims to mobilize support for Tinubu across political parties.

The RHA warned that if such mobilization undermines APC candidates or creates competing political authority, it could lead to confusion among supporters. They urged Wike to coordinate his support with existing APC structures to prevent political rivalry.
