Taraba Governor Agbu Kefa Rejects Violence for Reelection

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefa has declared that he will not resort to violence in his pursuit of reelection. Speaking to journalists in Lagos, Kefa highlighted the significance of public opinion in determining his political future, asserting that the electorate will decide his fate based on his performance.

He expressed a commitment to avoid any actions that could lead to bloodshed, stating he would prefer to step down than allow violence. Kefa also addressed the lack of a development master plan in Taraba State, which he identified as a major setback upon assuming office.

He emphasized the need for a comprehensive development framework to harness the state's rich natural resources effectively. Kefa, who defected from the People's Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress in January 2026, reiterated his focus on building a lasting legacy and ensuring meaningful impact during his tenure.
