APC Chieftain Urges Tinubu to Prioritize Security Measures

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, an APC chieftain in Osun State, called on President Bola Tinubu to focus on governance and address security threats rather than being distracted by opposition tactics as the 2027 general elections approach. Speaking to newsmen in Osogbo, Oyintiloye referenced a recent intelligence alert from the Department of State Services (DSS) regarding potential attacks on vulnerable locations in southern Nigeria.

He urged the President to support security agencies in intensifying surveillance and enhancing inter-agency collaboration. Oyintiloye specifically recommended increased security around schools, places of worship, and public gathering centers, especially with schools in session.

He also called for a thorough investigation into recent killings in Osun State, urging security agencies to identify and prosecute those involved. Additionally, he appealed to community leaders and citizens to cooperate with security agencies and provide credible information to prevent further violence.

Oyintiloye emphasized the importance of a strong security system for national development and urged state governors to support security efforts.
