INEC Displays EC9 Forms for 2027 Elections in Lagos

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated the display of Form EC9, which is the Affidavit in Support of Personal Particulars, submitted by candidates for the Presidential, Senatorial, and House of Representatives elections in Lagos State. This exercise commenced on Saturday and aligns with Section 29 of the Electoral Act, 2022, aimed at enhancing transparency in the electoral process.

The displayed forms will be available at the INEC Lagos State Office located in Sabo-Yaba and at various Local Government Area offices within the relevant constituencies. The documents include candidates' personal particulars, educational credentials, and affidavits.

INEC has encouraged registered political parties, candidates, stakeholders, and the public to inspect these documents. Furthermore, individuals who suspect that a candidate has submitted false information or forged documents are advised to seek legal redress as per the Electoral Act.

INEC reiterated its commitment to ensuring free, fair, and credible elections while upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
