Kwara APC Leaders Back AbdulRazaq Amid Mustapha's Defection

On Wednesday, stakeholders from Gambari Ward 1 in Ilorin East Local Government Area and the 51 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara Central Senatorial District publicly dismissed Senator Saliu Mustapha's recent defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). They expressed unwavering support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and APC governorship candidate.

Ibrahim Salah, the Councillor for Gambari Ward 1, stated that their support for the AbdulRazaq-led administration is based on the visible progress made in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Salah highlighted the completion of 113.57 kilometers of roads in Kwara Central and the positive impact of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme.

The stakeholders passed a vote of confidence in AbdulRazaq, urging him to continue his development efforts. Baba Abdullahi, Chairman of the APC ward chairmen, assured that Mustapha's defection would not weaken the party's structure in the region.
