ADC Candidate Advocates for Fair Ekiti LG Elections

Adeniyi Ogunrinde, the Chairmanship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Ikere West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has called on the Ekiti State Government to guarantee a credible, transparent, free, and fair election for the upcoming local government polls scheduled for December 12, 2026. Ogunrinde urged Governor Biodun Oyebanji to follow President Bola Tinubu’s example from the recent Osun State governorship election, allowing voters to select their preferred candidates without interference.

He emphasized that the December election should reflect the government’s commitment to democratic principles, ensuring every vote counts. Ogunrinde commended President Tinubu for his role in the Osun election, which saw Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party re-elected, and called for a level playing field for all political parties.

He expressed confidence in his campaign, focusing on the needs of Ikere West, and encouraged voters to participate peacefully in the election.
