APC in Lagos Targets Non-Politicians for 2027 Elections

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a grassroots mobilization strategy aimed at registered voters who are not active politicians in preparation for the 2027 elections. Iyabosola Abimbola Eletu, the Lagos State Women Leader, stated that the party intends to engage voters with Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) who have not participated actively in elections.

Party members are tasked with identifying ten potential voters around each polling unit who possess PVCs but have not previously engaged in voting. Eletu emphasized the need to extend outreach beyond existing party members.

The initiative follows earlier PVC sensitization efforts across Lagos, particularly targeting individuals with voter cards registered in locations different from their current residences. Eletu also mentioned that local government women leaders have created online content to educate residents about registration and transfer procedures.

This new strategy is part of broader efforts by the APC to enhance grassroots engagement as they prepare for the upcoming electoral cycle.
