INEC Chairman Identifies Logistics as Key Election Challenge

During a town hall meeting held in Abuja, Prof. Joash Amupitan, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), identified logistics as the primary challenge facing the commission in the lead-up to the 2027 elections. He stated that logistical failures have historically hindered electoral success and emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to ensure effective elections.

Prof. Amupitan acknowledged that while logistics problems are fundamentally human errors, the commission is committed to improving the situation. He appealed to Nigerians to recognize the desire for flawless elections and assured that INEC would strive to provide the best electoral experience possible.

The meeting included various groups, including media and civil society organizations, to discuss concerns and solutions related to the electoral process.
