APC Urges Nigerians in US to Support Tinubu's Re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians living in the United States to mobilize their family members in support of President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for the 2027 general elections. This appeal was made by Prof.

Tai Balofin, chairman of the APC US chapter, during the unveiling of the "Renew Hope Ambassador Diaspora North America" at the inaugural Nigeria Diaspora Economic Conference held in Houston, Texas. Balofin emphasized the need for the Nigerian diaspora to engage politically by encouraging their families back home to register to vote and obtain permanent voter cards.

He stated that despite living abroad, Nigerians have a crucial role in influencing the political future of the country. The campaign aims to leverage the economic strength and professional expertise of the diaspora to deepen political engagement and strengthen democracy in Nigeria.

Balofin's remarks were supported by Semiu Ayoola Olanipekun, who noted that the diaspora must no longer remain passive observers in Nigeria's democratic process.
