Nigerian Air Force Prepares for 2027 Election Support

The Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, announced the military's readiness to support the 2027 general elections during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja. Anek disclosed that the Air Force is making arrangements to deploy aircraft for the movement of electoral materials and personnel across the country.

Although the C-130 aircraft is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance outside the country, the Air Force is committed to ensuring timely support for the electoral process. INEC Chairman Prof.

Anek emphasized the Air Force's intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, which will enhance situational awareness during the electoral period and help detect potential security threats.
