NDC Reduces Nomination Fees for Women and Youths

The Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC) has announced a reduction in nomination fees for women, youths, and persons with disabilities (PWD) to encourage their participation in the 2027 general elections. Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, representing the NDC, stated that the party aims to align with its commitment to inclusivity in Nigeria's political process.

Women will benefit from a 50% discount on nomination fees, while youths aged 18 to 35 will also pay half the standard fee. Additionally, persons with disabilities will only pay 25% of the official fees across all electoral categories.

The NDC emphasized that financial constraints should not hinder any Nigerian from contributing to nation-building and highlighted the historical barriers women face in political participation. The party's nomination forms for presidential, governorship, and national assembly positions will be available at its national secretariat in Abuja and various state offices.
