Adebayo Urges Nigerian Youths to Engage in Politics for 2027

Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), called on Nigerian youths to take control of their neighborhoods, streets, and polling units in preparation for the January 16, 2027, presidential election. He made this statement during a discussion with the Confederation of African Youths in Abuja.

Adebayo emphasized the need for youths to be more assertive if they desire a change in government, asserting that effective political engagement goes beyond academic qualifications and requires active participation. He highlighted the significance of grassroots involvement, stating that politics is conducted in neighborhoods and that understanding local dynamics is crucial for influencing voting behavior.

Adebayo criticized the previous generation's insincerity and urged the youth to embrace their political responsibilities, asserting that a better Nigeria is achievable through their active engagement in the electoral process.
