Eno Urges Peaceful Politics Ahead of 2027 Elections

In his third anniversary speech on Friday, Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, cautioned the political class against engaging in violent acts during the upcoming election campaign. He stated that no single life is worth shedding for anyone's political ambitions.

Eno urged the people to embrace political ideas that promote peace rather than resorting to name-calling and character assassination. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace in the state and encouraged a spirit of sportsmanship in politics.

Eno reiterated his commitment to unity and security in Akwa Ibom, asserting that the state would remain united and secure as they approach the polls next year. He acknowledged the achievements of his administration in various sectors, including education, aviation, health, and infrastructure, attributing these successes to the support and prayers of the people.

Eno's message comes amid rising political tensions and insecurity in Nigeria as the 2027 general elections approach.
