Ogun APC Members Protest for Primaries Participation

On Monday, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State protested at the party's secretariat in Abeokuta, demanding access to membership cards and participation in the upcoming primaries for the 2027 general elections. Protesters, including Adesanya Akinbod and Idowu Rodiat, accused party leaders of attempting to impose candidates and disenfranchising loyal members by delaying the issuance of membership cards.

They emphasized the need for a transparent and fair electoral process, asserting their right to vote for their preferred candidates rather than having leaders impose choices on them. Femi Nuberu, the APC public secretary in Ogun State, denied claims that members were denied access to membership cards, explaining that registered members could print their cards online through designated ward officials.

He encouraged members to reach out to ward chairmen for proper orientation and access to the registration process.
