Otuaro Urges IYC to Support Tinubu's 2027 Reelection

Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), called on the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) to mobilize support for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in 2027. During a courtesy visit from the newly inaugurated 10th leadership of the IYC, led by President Dr. Doubra Okotete, Otuaro stated that supporting Tinubu is in the strategic interest of the Ijaw and Niger Delta people.

He urged the IYC to avoid division and work collectively for Tinubu's victory. Otuaro praised the IYC and other stakeholders for their support of the PAP’s peacebuilding efforts, noting the significant cooperation received for educational initiatives, including scholarships for 8,700 students in-country and over 270 abroad.

He expressed gratitude for the IYC's recognition of PAP's success in empowering Niger Delta youths and emphasized the collective responsibility to maintain peace and stability in the region.
