Makinde's Campaign to Focus on Citizen Engagements for 2027

The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation, represented by Mr. Tony Ehilebo, Special Adviser (Media and Digital Communication) to Governor Seyi Makinde, announced that its campaign for the 2027 presidential election will prioritize issue-based and citizen-driven engagements. This announcement was made during a news conference in Abuja.

The campaign will involve broad consultations with citizens and stakeholders across Nigeria, starting with zonal town hall meetings. The first meeting is scheduled for September 22, 2026, in Katsina, followed by another in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on September 25, and a meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on September 28.

The South-East engagement will occur in Enugu on September 30. Ehilebo emphasized that these meetings will focus on critical national issues and are part of Makinde's "Reset Nigeria" agenda, which aims to create a more accountable and service-driven leadership.

The campaign organization noted growing support for Makinde and his running mate, Alhaji Lawal Daura, as evidenced by recent electoral victories.
