Reps Minority Caucus and G-100 Unite Against APC

The Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives, led by Minority Leader Frederick Agbedi, has announced a partnership with the G-100 to create a formidable opposition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This collaboration was confirmed during a meeting at the National Assembly Complex on Wednesday.

Agbedi emphasized the necessity for opposition parties to unite in response to the severe economic and social challenges facing Nigerians, stating, “Nigerians are seriously in pain, Nigerians are wailing and Nigerians are frustrated.” Dr. Salihu Lukman, leader of the G-100 delegation and former director-general of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, expressed concerns about the fragmented state of opposition parties, warning that without unity, they risk repeating the electoral scenario of 2023, which could lead to another victory for the ruling party. The initiative aims to strengthen democratic participation and provide an alternative direction for the electorate.
